The
house was builded in the 18th. century to shelter an english engineer
who came to manage the sugar cane factory owned by the Cologan family.
That explains it´s english colonial style that reminds the african
colonial houses.
Later on the
state was transform into a banana plantation and the house was used by
the family to spend the summer, being inherited from mothers to daughters,
therefore nowadays it doesn´t belong to the Cologan family but to
descendant of the Manrique de Lara family.
The house has 6 double rooms with bath. 5 are in the interior of the house,
and number six is Suite style, with an independent living room and its
own T.V.
The house
has two dinning rooms, one with a big traditional table which can hold
up to 12 people, that could be used aswell as a conference room and small
groups meetings. The other dinning room is surrounded by windows and a
leafy vegetation. It has 6 tables for up to 4 people each, where breakfast
is served.
